Uganda

I would first like to start another Uganda post by thanking everyone for the comments in the last post...They mean so much.
Anyways, on to other things.
Uganda is a beautiful place. The people, the places, the homes, everything about it to me is beautiful. The suffering of course is not but there is beauty in it all. The beauty in the fact that in the greatest poverty they are lifting their hands in Praise to the ONE who rescues them. The ONE who helps them through their life. If only the nice, comfortable life in America we could understand how REAL and BIG and MOUNTAIN-MOVING our God is! If Only...I am not by any means saying that people in America do not worship or love God! Some do!! Think if you were an Orphan, alone, starving on the street...Would you be happy, always smiling, or in a good mood? If that was all you had ever known? Do you think that ANYONE chooses to live the life they live. That ANY child chooses to be an Orphan?! I highly doubt it. What is good about not having an Earthly Mommy and Daddy. Not having someone to tuck you in at night, kiss you, or let you know you are loved? Nothing is good about that. At all. It is only by the GRACE of God I am where I am right now. In a nice, comfortable home, listening to an iPod, texting on a cell phone, and on the internet. All of that is a LUXURY. I am BLESSED to have that stuff. I love my life here but slowly God is breaking my heart for what breaks His. Slowly HE is showing me that this lovely life in America is not for me. My life was not meant to be spent donating money online and praying for a child through the internet and hoping someone else will do something, my life was meant to GO and to help the Least of These to do something. Slowly God is showing me and changing my heart...Slowly I am finding out where I REALLY belong...and that is not in America.
Please keep praying for me and where GOD wants me to go!

Hospital.

Calling his Mei Mei who he misses so much!

This morning my parents and Andrew set off for Ohio so Andrew could have his surgery. They finally got there around 3, checked in and now are getting Andrew ready for bed. These are just some cell phone pictures my mom sent to me earlier. Please be sure to keep him in your prayers tomorrow. I know he will need them. I will keep you all updated. Thanks ahead of time for the Prayers!

Andrew's Surgery

Next week our precious boy is going to go all the way to Cincinnati and have surgery. He will need some major prayers. Please be praying our boy will trust us and know we are doing what is best for him, that he will understand what is going on, that God will give him a peace that will not be explainable other than by God himself, that God will protect him and the surgery will go well.
More details to come. Just be praying for our boy next week!
Thank you all!

Sunday Snapshot : Apple Orchard

Last week we went to the Apple Orchard.

It is so Fall-ish and Beautiful. I LOVED it!!

Anna Grace and Andrew loved it, of course and thought it was the most amazing thing ever!

They were all smiles

Feeding the animals...Andrew was in LOVE with the Llama he would chase it down the fence singing "Mawy had a wittle wam" it was the funniest thing ever.
Anna Grace liked the Llama too!
We all had a blast

And I even got in on the animal lovin'

Can't you tell from these big smiles.

Happy Fall!!! Ahhh. So Lovely.

My Heart Aches

My Heart aches to walk the dirt roads, holding precious little hands, loving on every single child, sharing His word. I am dying to be there. My heart aches daily to be there.
I question God's Will, even though I shouldn't.
Asking "Do I belong there?" "Is it Your Will?" "Am I insane"
I don't think I am and I truly in my heart believe God is calling me there. I just am impatient. The waiting is so hard. The watching others go and me stay behind, still. Over and over. Is Hard. I know God has some amazing plan for my life. HE knows where I will be and what HIS plans for my life. I just wish I could be there now. Not sitting home feeling hopeless. Some day I will be there. I am questioned "why Africa?" "How could you possibly be willing to give your life up to go there"
I just answer "God called me so Why Not?"
I know I seem terribly young to think God has called me somewhere but for over 3 years Africa has been on my heart. God has slowly changed my heart and changed the way I view the World.
Please be Praying with Me that God clearly shows me where HE wants me. Please Pray that if it is HIS Will I am able to go this summer. Wouldn't that be amazing? Please be Praying for Me (:
Sorry for whining ;) My heart is just heavy today.
He must become greater; I must become less. -John 3:30

Goodbye Summer!

It is no longer summer in our little part of the World...It feels like Winter! I took Anna Grace and Andrew out to play the other night and it was too cold with long pants and short sleeve shirts. We headed inside, grabbed jackets {gloves for AG} and ventured back out. They rode their bikes, played on the swingset, and wore themselves out! It was so much fun. It was nice to go outside and not burn up...now we just almost freeze!
Andrew did not think about the pavement being easier to ride on and decided on the grass. It was really funny. Anna Grace rode around the car over and over. I of course had to grab my camera and snap some pictures...

Breathtaking.
This picture makes me laugh out loud. he was riding his scooter in the grass, fell over and Zoey was jumping over him! (:

*Let me know what you think about the new blog design, please ;)

Sunday Snapshot : Hope

Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier. ~Author Unknown

As I sit here with this little boy in my lap listening to music I realize that all because God decided to Change Hearts, Move Mountains, and Lay it on My Heart....There is One Less Orphan in the World tonight. That, is enough to make you smile.
